We had a wonderful stay! The staff was incredibly welcoming, and our family room was clean, spacious, and had thoughtful touches like an extra heater. Our elderly dog was lavished with attention, and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast that set us up for exploring the beautiful hiking trails nearby.

My kids wished for a play area outside to burn off some energy.

We stayed two nights and the staff were unbelievable. The breakfast was the best we've had anywhere, and here we are talking about real quality with thick bacon and wonderful black pudding, you can't find this kind of food just anywhere.

It wasn't exactly cheap, but still acceptable.

Room temperature control issues could lead to discomfort!!! Weak shower water pressure is quite frustrating!!! Bathrooms could use more attention due to visible wear, and parking limitations can be a real hassle!!!

i had a lovely stay at fox. it’s right in the center of the village, making it easy to explore. my standard double room was very clean and fresh. i loved that breakfast was cooked to order, especially the tasty bacon. i found the service to be friendly and chatty, which made me feel welcome!

The Standard Triple Room was pretty comfy and clean—definitely cozy! It had some quirky features like uneven floors which added charm. The shower had a mind of its own but wasn't too bad. it felt like a nice mix of old-school character without sacrificing comfort.

The dining scene at The Fox is a real delight! I had some top-notch salmon that left my taste buds doing a happy dance. And the breakfast? Just the ticket after a night at the local bars! Plus, those fluffy towels are a treat after a bath.

The bar can get a bit cramped when busy, which it often is given how cosy it feels. And don’t get me started on the shower pressure. it’s as weak as a bad tea, but we made it work.
